DAY 3: Rewiring The Mind, Embracing The Future
I am a passionate frontend web developer and tech enthusiast leveraging the power of AI to drive innovation and impact. I'm committed to continuous learning, growth, and using technology to solve real-world problems. With a strong interest in education, leadership, and future-forward solutions. I am on a mission to inspire and create lasting change in his community and beyond.
Today was deep. That’s the best way I can sum it up.
We dove head-first into the concept of "Understanding Mental Frameworks & Systems", led by the powerful and insightful Mr. Johnson Abbaly fondly known as Smartan Dad. This session wasn't just informative; it was transformational.
Mr. Johnson took us on a journey through the framework pillars and the inner workings of mental systems, showing us that much of our lives is governed by the way we think, not just consciously, but unconsciously. He emphasized that we can deconstruct and reconstruct our mental frameworks, and one of the most effective ways to do that is by changing our environment.
A quote that stuck with me was:
“Whatsoever enters our minds will definitely show up in our lives.”
That hit deep. It reminded me that everything I consume, from conversations to content — is shaping who I’m becoming.
Breakout Session: A Glimpse into the Future with TL10
After the mindset session, we broke out into smaller groups. Each of us was assigned to one of the 10 Team Leads, and I found myself in TL10, a team focused on Nanotechnology & Robotics.
Our instructors, Eddie Lawrence and Esther, kicked off with introductions, we all shared our names and what we’re studying in the TechRise program. Then came the immersion:
We explored what Nanotechnology and Robotics truly are and how they are reshaping the world. We discussed major tech advancements from the last 20 years and projected into the next 20 years. It was clear: the future is here, and there’s no better time to be involved than now.
We were encouraged to see our skills as cross-sectoral tools, applicable and valuable in any part of the state or country we find ourselves. But the key? A renewed mindset.
Rediscovering Purpose Through IKIGAI
The day ended with another intense leadership session where we were introduced to the concept of IKIGAI - the Japanese idea of finding your reason for being.
This wasn’t your regular “introduce yourself” moment. We were challenged to see ourselves not just as individuals with skills, but as divine beings, channels through which God brings wisdom into the earth.
We learned that our real introduction should begin from who we are spiritually and purposefully, not just professionally.
To fully manifest the greatness within us, we must let the old self die, and birth the new version of who we are meant to be, this was powerfully illustrated with a short clip from The Matrix.
My Final Thoughts
All that we consumed from mindset shifts to future-forward thinking, and also into purpose, today was a perfect blend of mental, technical, and spiritual awakening.
This journey with TechRise isn’t just about learning tech, it’s about becoming.
Becoming self-aware, future-ready, and purpose-driven.
As I end today’s reflection, I’m filled with hope and fire. The work ahead is plenty, but the tools and clarity are coming together, one day at a time.
